Letter to WRCS Families,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your patience as we navigate this difficult situation. We are pleased to inform you that we have taken a collective deep breath and created a thoughtful plan for how we move forward in light of the damage to our beautiful school.
Sadly, our Kindergarten and Grade 1 classrooms have been significantly impacted and therefore these classes are going to be relocated. We strongly believe that in-person learning is the best option for our youngest students, and we are just awaiting confirmation of the new learning location for these classes. Additional details pertaining to these grades will be shared with those families directly as soon as plans are finalized.
At this time, the remaining areas of the school are still being cleaned, and we are hoping to be able to regain access to certain sections of the building in the near future. Given that we don’t know the exact timeframe for this, we are officially transitioning all Grades 2-8 students to online (at-home) learning. Teachers will be making contact with their families by Friday, April 16th.
The good news is that we have been fortunate to get our Chromebooks prioritized by the restoration company, and they will be ready to safely hand out starting Thursday, April 15th. We promise this time we are actually allowed to be doing this!

Please note: we have a limited number of Chromebooks to disperse, so we ask that you only request what your family absolutely needs at this time.
*If you have already requested a Chromebook (via your child’s teacher earlier in the week), please stop by the school on Thursday or Friday, April 15 or 16, between 11 am - 1 pm to collect a device.
*If you have not made a request for technology, but require one to proceed with online learning, please reach out to your child’s teacher prior to coming to the school for pick-up.
Words can’t express how grateful we are to be surrounded by such an incredible school community; the kind words and support we have received is truly what’s getting everyone through.
Thank you,
WRCS Admin
