A naturally lit library, central gym, and breakout learning spaces throughout the school that provide quiet spaces to work and study. The playschool facility is funded by the County of Grande Prairie. The school boasts the largest elementary/junior high gym throughout PWPSD.

Programs:
A new facility (2018), WRCS includes enhanced features such as a Makerspace classroom, student common areas and breakout rooms. The inclusive environment provides services for children in kindergarten through grade 8. Grades 4-8 have access one-to-one digital devices and classrooms are equipped with the latest technology. Staff members have developed collaborative practices to support student success and a strong student-focused culture. The school offers band, music, art and drama programs, a multitude of options (gr 7/8), and a junior high travel group. Students in grades 5-8 will be able to engage in extra-curricular sports teams, including volleyball, basketball, curling, badminton, and track and field. An active school council plays a positive role in enhancing school culture, and we truly have a community/family feel.

A full array of curricular and non-curricular activities help to enrich student learning and experiences while at WRCS. Extra-curricular volleyball, basketball, badminton, curling, and track and field are available throughout the year.
